We are stepping into an exciting new chapter with the name Graceview Adventist College, officially launching in the near future. We know a change like this brings questions, and we want our families to feel fully informed and included in the journey. This page answers some of the most common questions about the transition and will be updated as more details are confirmed.

Graceview Adventist College

Our school is a place where faith and learning come together, where children are known and nurtured, and where families share in the joy of a caring community. From classrooms to playgrounds, from chapels to service projects, every part of our story is filled with God’s goodness and grace.

We have been in the process of seeking a new name that reflects the goodness already at the heart of our school and the hope we hold for the season ahead. It is with joy that we now share that in the near future our school will be known as Graceview Adventist College.

Grace is at the heart of our school’s identity. In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul speaks about grace, the unearned gift of God’s love: “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this. It is a gift from God.” (Ephesians 2:8, NLT). Grace reminds students, staff and families that education is not just about knowledge but about living daily in the light of God’s grace, showing kindness, forgiveness and compassion to one another.

The word View was inspired by Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:18: “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called, his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.” (NLT). We aim to open young people’s eyes to God’s hope and calling for their lives. The “view” is also about a greater perspective, seeing the world through the lens of God’s grace and truth.

This change also connects us with the wider family of South Queensland Adventist Education. Across the region, every one of our sister schools will adopt the name “Adventist College.” Together, we are strengthening our shared identity while celebrating the unique stories and communities that make each school special.

Graceview Adventist College is more than a name. It is a daily reminder of our vision to grow in God’s grace, to become more like Him, and to look with clear eyes toward His hope and promise.

Kind Regards,
Ashley Bailey
