Esther: Chosen to Trust – Primary Week of Worship 2025
What do Ancient Persia, silly buzzer sounds, and joyful dancing have in common? They were all part of this year’s Primary Week of Worship (WOW), a much-loved highlight where our students grow in faith through worship, prayer, and gospel truths shared in fun and creative ways.
Our Year 6 students helped to lead WOW and share what the week meant to them personally.
“Even when times are tough, I know I am never alone because God is with me.” – Eva
“Being chosen by God is knowing that you have a purpose and that you were made for something important.” – F.
“I enjoyed WOW Week a lot. I loved getting up on stage, watching the videos, listening to the speaker and worshipping God.” – E.
As a Christian school community, we believe true fulfilment comes from knowing God and experiencing the joy of faith. WOW is one of the special ways we share this, a week of wonder and discovery for all students, and a treasured leadership opportunity for our Year 6s as they celebrate their final year of Primary.
This year’s theme, the story of Esther, reminded us that God’s presence and purpose are with us in every season. The week overflowed with music, drama, videos, sign language to anchor key lessons, and God’s Word brought to life with creativity and joy.
Each moment carried the reminder that every child is deeply loved and chosen by God.
Led by Pastor Janine Sandy, each day of WOW carried a key truth from Scripture that encouraged and inspired our students:
- Day 1: “With God, I am never alone” (Psalm 139:7–10)
- Day 2: “With God, I have a purpose” (Esther 4:14)
- Day 3: “We can be brave because we don't stand alone” (Joshua 1:9)
- Day 4: “God makes all things good, because He is good" (Romans 8:28)
- Day 5: “With God, I am chosen and loved” (2 Cor 5:17)
WOW is more than a week—it’s a significant part of our students’ faith journey. It strengthens their confidence in God’s love, reminds them they were created with purpose, and helps them take the next step in their walk with Jesus.
