There is something about camp that does not happen anywhere else! Our Year 8 students experienced this firsthand during their three days at Emu Gully camp.
Set in a rugged outdoor environment, students were immersed in activities designed to develop teamwork and leadership. Along the way, they engaged with values of courage, mateship, sacrifice and perseverance, not just as ideas, but as lived experiences.
They quickly discovered that progress comes through working together, encouraging one another and staying steady when things feel unfamiliar or difficult.
"Our three-day adventure at Emu Gully was an unforgettable experience that pushed us to our limits through grit and collective effort. Over the two nights, we learned that no obstacle was too big as long as we worked together and communicated as a team. It was a rugged, rewarding journey that turned individual challenges into shared victories and brought our group closer than ever." - Amane
One of the most noticeable outcomes was the strength of the cohort. As students moved through each challenge side by side, friendships deepened and a stronger sense of connection formed.
“Camp was such a cool experience to go through. Our class has definitely gotten closer. I’m so grateful for this experience,” said Taylor-Ferne.
Our Camps are an important part of our students' journeys, where they grow in resilience, build strong friendships and step into new challenges with confidence.
