Our very own Mrs Lindbeck joined three inspiring Australian women on a world-first challenge — riding a quad tandem bicycle more than 4,000 km from Perth to Sydney as part of the Ride4Life initiative. Their goal was to raise funds for Gotcha4Life, a charity building mental fitness and preventing suicide through education and community programs.
To date, the team has raised more than $111,000, helping fund Gotcha4Life’s work in schools, workplaces, and sporting clubs across Australia. The charity’s vision is a world free of suicide, where no one worries alone, and its programs equip people with the tools to strengthen their emotional muscles, stay connected, and reach out for help when it’s needed most.
Recently, Mrs Lindbeck shared her story with our Secondary students, bringing an important message of hope and practical mental health awareness. She reminded students that mental fitness, like physical fitness, can be developed through small, consistent actions that help us care for ourselves and others.
She encouraged students to:
- Check in regularly with friends and family. Ask, “How are you, really?”
-
Build emotional adaptability by learning to name feelings and express them in healthy ways.
-
Stay connected and look out for their “village.”
-
Seek help early. Never worry alone.
-
Practise gratitude and kindness, two proven ways to strengthen resilience and hope.

Congratulations, Mrs Lindbeck! We are so proud of you for using your strengths and resources to make a difference in our world.
