Pastoral Care Team

Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy Program at Gold Coast Christian College is run by our College Chaplain, Mr Marty Benard. The Chaplaincy Department runs a number of programs throughout the year as listed below.
Chapel Programs
Chapel is held weekly for both primary and secondary students. It is a time of singing, activities and a spiritual message built around various themes throughout the year. The purpose of the Chapel program is to strengthen students’ individual faith journey with Jesus. Parents are welcome to attend.
Week of Worship (WOW)
Week of Worship is a much-loved event in our College, where both primary and secondary students participate in a daily chapel service throughout a week. All aspects of the program are tied to a theme and students hear from a guest speaker who challenges students to take the next step with their faith in Jesus Christ. Parents are also welcome to attend.
At the conclusion of WOW, students are given the opportunity to participate in Bible studies to further their spiritual development. If students wish to participate in Bible studies, a letter is sent home requesting parental permission prior to studies commencing.
IMPACT
IMPACT is a regular Friday night program for our Secondary students held each term. The program changes throughout the year and includes movie nights, live bands, interactive activities, a guest speaker and food.
STORMCo
Every year, the College provides the opportunity for our senior students to be a part of a week-long 'adventure in service' to Texas, Queensland. Students engage in the community by helping with garden makeovers, painting any buildings required to be maintained and run children's activities. They leave having gained special memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Service To Others Really Matters (STORMCo) is an Australia-wide initiative. Click here for more information.
Other
